VOLUNTEER TESTIMONIALS

I strongly believe in directly helping people in my community. I fell in love with USYF's mission early on to  provide the resources and  underserved youth and giving them a voice to talk about the issues that matter to them the most. It's been incredible to see people of all backgrounds come together to make this happen.

One of the first things that comes to mind for me is that USYF I can confidently say is one of the few spaces were my voice has always been heard and welcome and valued. As a minority women, unfortunately, that is not always guaranteed. It's a great feeling to be a part of an organization that not only gives me that feeling, but other young people that feeling. It's authentic and inspiring, and it gives me a lot of hope for the future.

I love this team and what we've accomplished together and all we continue to do. I've learned so many different skills: personal development, leadership, teamwork, outreach, fundraising, and much much more.

"I just started working with USYF and it has been such an honor to do so. I am more than happy and just grateful to be a part of an initiative that focuses on minority youth in such different ways: through sexuality, through race, through economics. It's just been an honor to do that and focus on initiatives and get the word out there about what our rights are and what we can do to make change in this country.
